Fruzsina Szép (DE)

Born in Budapest, Fruzsina Szép fled communist Eastern Europe as a child and grew up in Munich. She became a band manager at eighteen, directed the programme of Sziget Festival, founded the Hungarian Music Export Office, launched Lollapalooza Berlin, and in 2020 created Superbloom – a festival built from the ground up as a space where everyone belongs. Superbloom doubled its wheelchair areas, tripled disabled visitors, features 70% female audience and 45% women and queer artists in its lineup. She is co-founder of TAKE A STAND, understanding from her own biography that music events are not neutral commercial spaces – they are civic spaces.
